To my knowledge, nope. The only thing I can say for certain it is used 
in is Cube/Sauerbraten. :)

I know a few people tinkered with it quite a bit in the past and either 
adapted the code or were inspired to write networking of their own based 
on it, but I have not really kept track of them.
